Does Sky Zone have laser tag?

So what should you know before booking a laser tag game at Sky Zone? What is there to expect? And more importantly: is it worth it?

How many Sky Zone locations are there?

There are over 100 Sky Zone locations worldwide. That means, hypothetically, you could do a whole world tour specifically to visit every Sky Zone location.

Sky Zone is first and foremost a trampoline park, so it’s not guaranteed that every location will also have laser tag. Just make sure to double check that the specific location you’re going to has all of the attractions you’re looking to enjoy.

There are Sky Zone locations in Australia, Colombia, Guam, Guatemala, India, Kuwait, Mexico, Norway, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom, with locations soon to open in Bahrain, Omar and Qatar.

The United States has a particularly impressive selection of locations to choose from, especially over on the West Coast. This is great because the American Sky Zone has many  different attractions and programs to enjoy along with laser tag.

What’s Sky Zone laser tag like?

So let’s talk laser tag now. What is playing laser tag at Sky Zone like?

To start, the arenas are something out of a dream. Every location seems to be decorated slightly differently, so you never know what to expect with a new location.

Arenas

Take the Brisbane laser tag area for example. Firstly, it’s the biggest laser tag attraction in Brisbane, and comprises of three stories with a capacity of forty people.

It’s a self-described “cloud-filled wonderland” and certainly holds up to its name. The walls are painted with a blue sky and clouds, and appear to be glowing from the professional mystical lighting they have set up.

It’s almost psychedelic.

There is also a giant iridescent hot-air balloon in the center of the arena with three children looking out above the clouds at all of the players. Most laser tag arenas choose to go down the black walls and neon lights route for their decor, but Laser Zone totally reworks what it means to play laser tag.

The arena also features a giant chess set and other oversized game themed objects like dice, playing cards, and letter blocks. It’s truly like stepping into another world.

Some other locations have simpler  arenas. We would recommend having a look to see what your local arena looks like so you know exactly what to expect.

Take the Fairview Heights, Illinois location for example. Their laser tag setup consists of a maze of sorts with modern spaceship looking walls. It’s also lit with glowing neon pink and purple lights.

At the same time, that location has a ton of other activities to also try out, like a foam pit, rock climbing, and of course, a giant trampoline park.

Educational Programs

STEM in Sky Zone

Some Sky Zone locations even have S.T.E.M based learning opportunities via lasers, lights, and sound. It’s not quite the same as playing a round of laser tag, but it does incorporate all of the same elements to keep kids entertained and well-educated!

The Charleston, West Virginia location is one of many that offer this feature, along with a similar program for Bible knowledge.

Is it worth it?

Sky Zone is pretty affordable, probably because, as a larger franchise, they can  offer competitive prices. You can buy a full-day pass for Sky Zone, but keep in mind that this does not include laser tag.

Laser tag games can be purchased individually, or you can buy several or unlimited plays at once (depending on the location) with a discount.

Customers have been very happy with their time at Sky Zone laser tag.

One customer who went to the Brisbane Sky Zone location wrote, “I have 4 sons – 12 years to 24 years – we hit the $15 unlimited laser tag – and it was awesome. We played for hours and having it unlimited means there are always many people on the course. Best laser tag course I have ever been to – no doubt – well planned – loads of pinch points and sneaky shots to be had.”

It sounds like he had an amazing time and definitely felt like it was well worth it!

Great reviews like that are quite popular. Sky Zone clearly knows how to pull off an awesome laser tag arena, which is probably one reason why it’s making its way around the globe.

Do I have to come with kids to play at Sky Zone?

Smiling faces of all ages are welcome at Sky Zone! While we’re sure kids would love Sky Zone, there’s no reason why adults looking to enjoy a few rounds of laser tag can’t show up and play without being accompanied by a child.

What if my kid is too young to play laser tag?

Sky Zone has toddler time for their trampolines. Every Friday and Sunday morning, children under the age of five get trampoline time without any ‘big kids’ getting in their way or overwhelming them.

We recommend that you come as a group and take turns playing laser tag while one or two parents watch the kids during toddler time. That way, your little ones get to enjoy some fun and you get to tag away!

Ready, Set, Go!

In conclusion, Sky Zone doesn’t just have laser tag, it has an awesome laser tag. Their arenas can be super intricate and it’s obvious that the establishments really care about giving their customers a fun but safe time.

Have you ever been to a Sky Zone location? What did you think? Did you play laser tag or did you also try some of their other attractions?

We would love to hear about it!

Stay safe and have fun tagging!
