1/ Ultrazone’s Redzone Adventures
Address: 1928 Greenspring Drive, Lutherville-Timonium, MD, 21093
Phone Number: 410-373-4422
Redzone Adventures is the place to go for the ultimate laser experience. They call their laser tag “The Ultimate Laser Adventure” which is warranted considering they have the largest laser tag venue in the city.
You can expect to be transported into a world filled with intoxicating energy, foggy passageways, and plenty of bright neon lights. Even the vests and laser tag guns are brightly lit for the ultimate sensory experience.
They are proud to provide a safe experience for players of all ages! We love that a game lasts 15 minutes, which is enough time to have plenty of fun, but not too much that players start to get bored or the mission begins to feel aimless.
Just keep in mind that groups must play at least two games during their visit!
All laser tagged out but still want more? Ultrazone also has a laser maze!
Nothing will make players feel like they’re in a James Bond movie than ducking and bending over and under lasers. Players must get through the maze as quickly as possible without skimming through one of the many lasers cutting across the room.
It’s the ultimate agility test!
Customers have been really happy with the service and prices Redzone offers. The staff is super friendly, kids love it, and parents were pleased with the experience as a whole.
There’s also a virtual reality experience for those interested in delving into entirely different universes in between rounds of laser tag!
2/ Ultrazone East Point
Address: 7835 East Point Mall #11, Baltimore, MD 21224
Phone Number: 443-384-1481
The first thing you notice when walking into Ultrazone at the East Point Mall in Baltimore is their dedication to design. The laser tag venue, arcade, and birthday party area are all decorated with detailed murals, colored lights, and thematic props.
Let’s start with the gearing-up zone for laser tag. Ultrazone has transformed what was probably a small room into a post-apocalyptic sci-fi entrance. The grimey black and yellow arrows on the wall suggest you’re underground in a government facility preparing to enter an alternate dimension the CIA has conjured up.
Every vest is decked out in lights with a matching, equally bright laser tag gun. Inside the arena is even better. Glowing walls that look like they are made from industrial-strength steel create a maze for players to navigate.
Doors are numbered with “Access” printed on top of them begging the question; “What are they keeping down here?”
For the competitive players, leaderboards on flatscreen TV’s display which team is in the lead.
The arcade is also worth noting. There are several games for customers to choose from; everyone is bound to find one they enjoy whether it’s a classic shooting game or good old-fashioned basketball.
Customers have been very happy with their experience here, suggesting that they have no reason not to come back in the future.
3/ ShadowLand Laser Adventures
Address: 9179 Red Branch Rd, Columbia, MD 21045
Phone Number: 410-740-9100
It doesn’t get more colorful than Shadowland in Columbia. They specialize in “whole group” activities, which is why laser tag is what they’re most well known for!
The venue is a dreamland. It’s a fantastic mix between kid-friendly and totally trippy. Neon shapes are peppered around the entire arena making the space look like it’s been drawn in with a glow-in-the-dark crayon.
Gradient glowing “stone” cubes turn the large space into passageways for players to navigate. Laser tag is fun on its own, but getting to play while exploring the mystical venue ShadowLand further enhances the experience.
Children would love ShadowLand, but there are also many adults who enjoy playing here.
Customers have been pleased with how friendly the staff is and how well-maintained the area, arcade, and other amenities were. Parents with their young children have left positive reviews, and adults in large groups were equally content with how their time at ShadowLand went.
While ShadowLand doesn’t have the biggest laser tag arena in Baltimore, it’s certainly large enough to impress its guests and leave them feeling winded after playing a round! After all, was it even a good game if you aren’t slightly out of breath afterward?
The prices are also reasonable for the area, with discounts for playing more than one game. They also recommend that children be at least six years old to play laser tag.
ShadowLand has locations sprinkled around Maryland and Virginia, so even people who don’t live in Baltimore might have one near them!
4/ Monster Mini Golf
Address: 1969 E Joppa Rd Parkville, MD 21234
Phone Number: 410-497-9704
Don’t let the same fool you. Monster Mini Golf also offers an immersive laser tag experience fittingly called “Monster Laser Tag”.
Children five and over can enjoy the completely blacklighted arena that combines neon colors with playful kid-friendly horror. The walls are made to look like old stone bricks and a giant chandelier adorn with skulls hangs from the ceiling. Normally, this might sound horrifying for a young child, but the coloring and cartoon-like design of everything ensures players will only be screaming joyously.
The laser tag is highly interactive and features fog, music, mines, targets, and well-thought-through decorations. You can play Monster Laser Tag as two teams trying to accumulate the most points during a round, but they also offer missions for those looking for a challenge.
Customers were pleased with the establishment’s cleanliness and how well they adhered to CDC guidelines. The laser tag was a highlight for many visitors despite the main attraction being the mini-gold — which we love to hear!
The music and prizes also got very good reviews, so don’t forget to try your hand at the arcade!
Just like the laser tag arena, the mini-golf course does not disappoint. Monster Mini Golf has mastered using blacklight; it’s impossible not to notice how vibrant the coloring of all the props are.
We can not think of a visually cooler place to be introduced to laser tag.
